1998: Was named team captain by coach Darryl Sutter

1997: Was named to the Western Conference All-Star Team.  Scores a hat trick in the All-Star Game (which was held in San Jose that year).  On his 3rd goal, Nolan was on a breakaway against Dominik Hasek Right before he shot he pointed at Hasek Then he shot it Top Shelf.  That goal was on highlight shows for months.   Many people compared his goal to Babe Ruth's called home run.

1996: Was named alternate captain by coach Al Sims

1996: Led the Sharks in goals (29), points (61), assists (32), Power Play Goals (12), and shots (184)

1995: Was tied for 3rd for the league lead in goals (30)

1990: Scored his first NHL goal October 12 vs. Buffalo
